HardwareThe Office of Information Technology has 5 IBM-compatible computers for staff, faculty and student utilization. They are equipped with a CD-ROM and a 3.5" floppy drive. One computer has a zip drive and a scanner.Other hardware includes an HP Laserjet 8100 to which all PC's in the lab and laptops can print. Please note that students are allowed to print up to 500 sheets per semester. *Note to all students with wireless laptops: We have an access point in the computer lab where you can come and use the printer. When your laptop was set up, we configured this printer in your printers. All you have to do is choose the HP8100 printer. If your laptop is not configured with this printer, bring it to the CCR office for set up. It doesn't take but a minute. Staff or faculty who want to use this printer must contact OIT to establish a printing credit in the lab. SoftwareWindows XP on all lab computersMcAfee Virus Scan program MicroSoft Office Professional XP (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel) Internet Explorer (for Internet access) Adobe Acrobat Reader (for viewing .PDF files) GroupWise email program Pegasus email (for any staff or faculty that still uses this email package) Various software programs offered by faculty |
