How to change your email password

Go to www.med.sc.edu/mail and log into Outlook Web access.

(This link is also accessible on the School of Medicine home page in the bottom right corner)

Enter your username and password.  Click on Logon.

Once logged in, click on "Options" in the top right corner and then click on "Change password" in the column on the left.  Enter the old password and then enter and confirm your new password in both boxes and click on "Save" above the Keys icon.

Remember that the password must meet the minimum complexity requirements outlined below.

The password cannot contain all or part of the account name of the user.

  • The password is at least eight characters long.
  • The password contains characters from three of the following four categories
  • Uppercase letters (A through Z)
  • Lowercase letters (a through z)
  • Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
  • Non-alphanumeric characters such as: exclamation point (!), dollar sign ($), or percent  (%).

If your account is only for access to the School of Medicine wireless and logging into school computers, you will need to call our office at 545-5100 to have it changed.

From a domain joined computer on campus, you can type ctrl-alt-del to change it.
